History

Castor & Chouca is the child of a french manufacture in Marciac (south of France). Its 3 founders : Philippe Ossona de Mendez (designer and co-designer of the brand), Jérôme Lasserre and Bruno Flinois wanted a brand to answer new parents' demand: secure, eco-friendly and nice design products for their families.

Castor & Chouca is an innovative french brand which creates and produces furniture, accessories and textile products, dedicated to the blooming of the children. An eco-design universe, a contemporary atmosphere, a collection inspired by child care in maternity hospitals (practical and safe) and designs in the heart of the parents' home a line of decorative furniture (innovation and design) for children. Castor & Chouca stands apart as well by the originality and quality of the chosen materials and the evolution of each of its creations which follows the child in his development. Castor & Chouca is the insurance of a top-of-the-range work developed in the art of its manufacture since 1942.

Issued from the latest researches on security, well-being and the development of babies optimised to last, "1,2,3 soleil" is suitable for the increasing needs of the new century family. Achieved with ecological concerns, mainly in bamboo slat and finished in the pure tradition of French craftsmen "1,2,3 soleil" is bursting with artfulness. As a cradle, it is reclining to fight against the gulping down of new born babies. As a baby bed, it shows open spaces to communicate, a reclining height for the base of the bed, a body moulding mastress...it includes as well a changing table and will remain in the bedroom as a desk during the whole school-life of the child.

GROWING UP

The junior bed
The junior bed combines design and solidity. Unrivalled with its 20 mm bamboo slat structure, practical with it detachable side protection, it enables from 3 years old to the adult age an unmatched well-being thanks to its evolutive body moulding mattress from 1m40 to 1m90 (feasibility 2m). A pure and stylish bed to fit together quite simply to make discover the pleasure to lie down and fall asleep comfortably.

TYDYING UP

Bagajeu XXL
Wandering bag to set in the living- room, it enables to make disappear right away the merry mess of our dear children. Unique, design and ecological it includes a lot of artfulness. Closed, it hides and carries all the toys inside the house and elsewhere, open it is a big carpet to lay down or change baby with its detachable and disposable diapers (disposable diapers set in option). Felt outside, organic cotton inside.

DECORATING

L'Arbracoucou
It is a design tree which grows on the wall to become naturally a shelf, fixed on the wall with its music box to make sleep the youngest ones, its photo-frames and transparent settings so that each object can give the impression to be ready to be collected.

BLOOMING
